Acquabianca farm is in a strategic position that allows in a short time to reach the most beautiful and unspoiled locations of the Pollino massif, for an exciting and unforgettable experience.
Acquabianca farm is located in the town of Francavilla In Sinni (PZ), on mount Caramola, in the heart of the Pollino National Park, at 1100 meters above sea level. It takes its name from the source of the same name, that is distant a few hundred meters. A few Kilometers away there are the “Source Catusa” and the “Timpa” Pietrasasso, a basalt of 130 millions years ago. In the same area the is the “Lake Fish”, a place of rare natural beauty, in which specimens of Italian turtle live.
On mount Caramola, near the springs scattered throughout, we find picnic areas. You can visit on foot the eastern reseve Rubbio, with its trails through the woods of beech and fir. The area is dominated by the majestic flight of the kite and the buzzard, and it’s easy to meet squirrels and foxes.
If we are lucky we will see deer, reintroduced in the Pollino National Park (their natural habitat) after 150 years.
